"Seeds of Hope" Shown in Panama

From April 1-24, the SGI and Earth Charter exhibition, "Seeds of Hope: Visions of Sustainability, Steps Toward Change" was held at the SGI-Panama Culture Center's Peace Hall in Panama City.

A series of workshops and seminars on environmental sustainability were also held for school groups. One activity included making paintings and sculptures based on the exhibition's theme. Speakers included representatives from Autoridad del Canal de Panamá (Panama Canal Authority) and the environmental NGO, Fundación Natura. Some 2,600 visited the exhibition.

Exhibition sponsors included Autoridad del Canal de Panamá, Parque Natural Metropolitano (Metropolitan Natural Park), Panamá Verde (a youth association for environmental protection), Fundación Albatros Media (Albatros Media Foundation), Fundación Natura and several TV stations.
