"Seeds of Change" Exhibition Held in the Netherlands, Switzerland and Italy
From April 21 to May 18, 2009, the "Seeds of Change: The Earth Charter and Human Potential" exhibition created by SGI and the Earth Charter Initiative was on view at the public library of Roosendaal City, the Netherlands. The city requested the exhibition be held together with a symposium on protection of the rights of the child, hosted by former University of Amsterdam Professor Sjef Teuns. Guests attending the exhibit opening included former Dutch Prime Minister Ruud Lubbers and Roosendaal Mayor Michel Marijnen.
From May 15-25, the "Seeds of Change" exhibition showed at the town hall of Coldrerio Municipality in Switzerland. The exhibit was in conjunction with a celebration for a commendation Coldrerio had received recognizing its contributions to sustainable energy policy and town development.
From May 4-8, the exhibition was also shown at the Politecnico di Milano University in Milan, Italy. University students proposed and organized the event.
