"Seeds of Change" Exhibition Shown in Italy
"Seeds of Change" exhibition in Emilia-Romagna
From March 3-14, 2009, the "Seeds of Change: The Earth Charter and Human Potential" exhibition was shown in the municipality of San Lazzaro di Savena, Emilia-Romagna, Italy. The exhibition was also on show at the historic palace Bottini dell'Olio in Livorno, Tuscany, from March 17-26. Many local citizens attended the exhibition. Regular tours and creative workshops for children and teens were conducted, including activities where youth were encouraged to write about or make drawings of their impressions of the exhibition. Professors from the Universities of Pisa and Bologna engaged in dialogue with participants about humanity's responsibility toward the environment. In addition, SGI President Daisaku Ikeda's nature photographs were shown at the exhibition in San Lazzaro di Savena.
