"21st Century Environment Exhibition" Opens in Tokyo and Hyogo Prefecture
On July 4, 2008, the "21st Century Environment Exhibition," which supports the United Nations' Decade of Education for Sustainable Development (2005-2014), opened at the Shibuya Tobu Hotel in Tokyo. Many guests attended the opening ceremony. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha, Japanese bureau chief of "The Voice of Vietnam," a Vietnamese state radio station, expressed her desire to inform the Vietnamese people about the SGI's environmental efforts through the radio.
On July 7, the same exhibition was held at Sumoto Cultural Gymnasium in Hyogo Prefecture. Shinichi Takeda, director of the Sumoto Cultural Association remarked that the exhibition helped him gain a good understanding of current environmental issues and hoped that many people see the exhibition.
