On October 2, SGI-Panama's student group members organized a forum titled "Peace Founded on Value" at the SGI-Panama Culture Center in Panama City. The keynote presentation was given by Angélica La Vítola, director of the Casa Esperanza, who spoke about children as being the ambassadors of change. Ms. La Vítola also shared her belief in SGI's philosophy of "human revolution" and discussed how SGI President Daisaku Ikeda's efforts to work for the sake of children's happiness and toward establishing a century of women are consonant with the ideals of the Casa Esperanza.

Yaneth Mejía from the BAC International Bank in Panama gave a talk on the importance of working to build peace within one's immediate environment and how cultivating wisdom from daily life is what helps people to develop and grow.
