The 140th lecture in the "Hiroshima Study Lecture Series," sponsored by Soka Gakkai Hiroshima youth members, was held at the Soka Gakkai Hiroshima Ikeda Peace Center in Japan, on October 13. As guest speakers, Dr. Mohammad Lezan and Dr. Soo Khin Wah from the University of Malaya offered Islamic perspectives on peace. In his talk, Dr. Mohammad Lezan emphasized the importance of choosing peace over violence and respecting differences--all of which are in alignment with SGI's philosophy of respecting the dignity of all life. He also conveyed his hope to work together with SGI President Daisaku Ikeda in order to ensure a future that will never again have to experience the tragedy caused by the use of nuclear weapons.
