"From a Culture of Violence to a Culture of Peace: Transforming the Human Spirit" Exhibition Held at the University of Hong Kong

From February 22 to March 1, 2009, SGI's exhibition "From a Culture of Violence to a Culture of Peace: Transforming the Human Spirit," which examines the threat of nuclear weapons from the perspective of human security, was shown at the University of Hong Kong (HKU). SGI-Hong Kong and HKU Centre of Development and Resources for Students co-organized the event, aimed at providing visitors an opportunity to ponder how each person can participate in building a world free of nuclear weapons.

Among the guests attending the HKU ribbon-cutting ceremony on February 23 were HKU School of Professional and Continuing Education Director Prof. Lee Chack-fan, HKU Dean of Student Affairs Dr. Albert Chao, SGI-Hong Kong General Director Lee Kong Sau and Youth Leader Ngan Sai Fong. After the ceremony, SGI-Hong Kong student members gave the guests a guided tour of the exhibition.
