From January 27 to February 6, 2009, an antinuclear exhibition "From Armament to Nuclear Disarmament" ("Del armamento al desarme nuclear: Nada menos que ser humano"), created by SGI-Spain youth, showed in Seville, Andalucía, southern Spain. The exhibition, which highlights the atomic-bombed cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, the current proliferation of nuclear weapons, SGI President Daisaku Ikeda's dialogues for peace with world leaders and SGI's antinuclear activities, appeals to the public to actively work to combat this threat and build peace. The exhibition has visited Madrid, Barcelona and the University of Alcalá. Some 700 local residents and many junior and senior high school students attended the event in Seville.

Coinciding with the exhibit, a conference on interfaith dialogue took place on January 29. Eight groups attended, including religious organizations representing Christianity, Islam, Hinduism and Buddhism, as well as an environmental conservation group. SGI-Spain Women's Leader Luisa Gonzales participated and introduced SGI's grassroots movement for social change, based on individual empowerment and transformation.
