On November 22, several Singapore Soka Association (SSA) youth members attended the inaugural Abdul Aleem Siddique Memorial Lecture, which was held at and organized by the Islamic Religious Council of Singapore's (MUIS) Harmony Centre located in An-Nahadhah Mosque. The lecture, titled "Religion: Source of Strength in a Challenging World," was given by Dr. Mohamed Fatris bin Bakaram, the mufti of Singapore.

The lecture series, named after one of the founders of the Inter-religious Organization of Singapore (IRO), will be held annually and speakers from different faiths in Singapore will be invited to speak on current and emerging national and global issues that are of concern to all faith communities.

The Harmony Centre aims to promote a greater understanding among faiths through dialogue and strengthen the ties between different faith communities.
