Soka Gakkai Malaysia Participates in Hospis Malaysia's Charity Bazaar

Soka Gakkai Malaysia (SGM) members were invited to volunteer for Hospis Malaysia's annual charity bazaar held on July 31. SGM Kuala Lumpur members from around Cheras worked at a food stall and sold bazaar coupons.

Cik Rosehayati Noordin, general manager of Hospis Malaysia, stated that events such as the charity bazaar are important for raising public awareness about the nonprofit organization's services for those with terminal and incurable diseases. She shared her hopes that more people would become aware of the support available for those in need.

Since its inception in 1991, Hospis Malaysia has cared for more than 12,000 patients. Its free services are provided by volunteers and medical professionals.

Commenting on the charity bazaar, SGM representative June Chiang stated, "It is through such activities that we can manifest the spirit of caring for others and create a positive environment for others."
