Cultural Group from China Participates in Taiwan Soka Association Charity Concert

On September 25 and 26, 2009, Taiwan Soka Association (TSA) put on a charity concert to raise funds for reconstruction work in areas devastated by flooding in August this year. The event, held at the National Dr. Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, featured the Chinese Ethnic Minority Culture and Art Association, a cultural group from mainland China whose members come primarily from Minzu University of China and Southwest University for Nationalities. Proceeds from ticket sales were donated to the Ministry of the Interior on October 26. TSA General Director Lin Chao and General Manager Ma Chin-kang of Infinity International, which helped TSA prepare for the event, presented a check for $1,000,000 New Taiwan Dollars (US$31,100) to Interior Minister Jiang Yi-Huah.
