SGI-Bolivia Participates in Relief Activities for Flood Victims

In Bolivia, torrential rains that have persisted for three months have led to the most devastating floods to hit the country in 25 years, resulting in numerous landslides, impassable roads and vast agricultural areas under water. The damage is expected to increase. Together with the government, SGI-Bolivia initiated relief activities in the hard hit Santa Cruz Province in eastern Bolivia. On February 7, 2008, SGI-Bolivia representatives visited the province's social services department to donate food, clothing and blankets collected by local SGI members.
