SGI-Korea Appoints New General Director

SGI-Korea's Seoul centerNational leaders meeting at SGI-Korea's Seoul center

SGI-Korea held a national leaders meeting at its center in Seoul on January 13. At the meeting, Kim In Soo was newly appointed SGI-Korea General Director and former General Director Yeo Sang Rak was appointed honorary general director.

The meeting also included a faith-based experience, activity reports and a performance by SGI-Korea's all-male traditional music ensemble Taegeuk Chi-Ta-Dae. SGI-Korea Youth Leader Jeong Jung Waen reported that the youth members were challenging themselves in their Buddhist practice and in their respective fields of endeavor towards March 16 of this year, a symbolic day in terms of the key role and responsibility of youth within the SGI movement.

SGI President Daisaku Ikeda sent a message for the occasion, highlighting the importance of Buddhist unity toward the shared goal of contributing to society. SGI General Director Yoshitaka Oba and SGI Women's Leader Kayoko Asano also attended the event.
