SGI-Mexico, Chile and Panama Celebrate Soka Gakkai's Founding

In November, SGI organizations throughout the world celebrated Soka Gakkai's founding. In Latin America, SGI-Chile held a celebratory meeting at the SGI-Chile Culture Center in Santiago on November 20. Some 400 people attended.

On November 19, some 250 SGI-Mexico members from Yucatan, Veracruz, Tlaxcala and as far away as from Baja California, Mexico, attended exchange meetings at 30 venues in Mexico City, where they also celebrated the Soka Gakkai's anniversary.

In Panama, celebratory meetings were held on November 20 in the provinces of Chiriquí, Colón and western Panamá Province.

Some of the meetings included a variety of cultural performances, presentations on the history of the Soka Gakkai and the sharing of experiences by members on practicing Buddhism.
