SGI Commemorates Soka Gakkai Day and Soka Gakkai Mother's Day

SGI members throughout the world gathered in their respective areas to celebrate May 3, Soka Gakkai Day and Soka Gakkai Mother's Day.

In Belgium, members met at the SGI-Belgium Culture Center in Brussels on May 1. Participants learned about the 50-year history of SGI in Europe and renewed their resolve to work for world peace, always advancing with the spirit of creating unity among diversity.

On the same day, SGI-Bolivia members held a commemorative meeting at the SGI-Bolivia Culture Center. Attendees offered prayers for the fast recovery of the regions hit by the March 11 earthquake and tsunamis in Japan.

SGI-Canada members also celebrated May 3 throughout the country. The celebrations included dance, choir and band performances.
