SGI-Venezuela Celebrates SGI Women's Day
SGI-Venezuela women membersOn June 6, 2010, SGI-Venezuela held a commemorative SGI Women's Day meeting in Caracas, Venezuela. SGI-Venezuela General Director Lydia Salas attended, offering words of encouragement to the women.
Meetings based on a theme of "Women Who Create Hope" were held concurrently throughout the country at 69 venues. Some 3,000 women participated.
At the various events, women studied SGI President Daisaku Ikeda's lecture on Nichiren's writing "On Attaining Buddhahood in This Lifetime" and discussed ways in which one can strengthen and develop her state of life while contributing to the expansion of peace.
