SGI-Thailand Publishes Thai Language Version of The Wisdom of the Lotus Sutra, vol.3

Recently, SGI-Thailand published the Thai language version of The Wisdom of the Lotus Sutra--A Discussion on Religion in the Twenty-first Century, vol. 3, written by SGI President Daisaku Ikeda. Current translations of this book include, Chinese, Danish, English, French, German, Italian, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish.

Volume 3 examines chapters 11 through 15 of the Lotus Sutra--"Emergence of the Treasure Tower" (Chapter 11) to "Emerging from the Earth" (Chapter 15). In this book, Mr. Ikeda talks about recognizing one's life as the treasure tower--a metaphor for the emergence of deep within one's being the highest state of life. He also discusses how the Lotus Sutra teaches that all living beings, including those who have committed grave offenses and women, who were thought to be incapable of attaining Buddhahood in earlier Buddhist teachings, can attain enlightenment. Furthermore, he explains the value of striving for world peace with the shared spirit of mentor and disciple.

SGI-Thailand Executive Chair Somsak Likitjariyanon expressed his appreciation for being able to study Mr. Ikeda's philosophy and spirit through his writings on the Lotus Sutra and shared his determination to work for the future development of SGI-Thailand.
