On October 10, more than 1,000 SGI-Hong Kong members participated in the Intermediate Buddhist Study Exam organized by SGI-Hong Kong. The exams were held in four locations throughout Hong Kong, including the SGI-Hong Kong Culture Center and the Tuen Mun Culture Center.

Exam questions were based on SGI President Daisaku Ikeda's lectures on Nichiren's writings such as "The Opening of the Eyes" and "The Heritage of the Ultimate Law of Life." SGI-Hong Kong General Director John Ng Chor Yuk and Honorary General Director Lee Kong Sau visited exam venues to support the examinees, many of whom began preparing for the exam at the beginning of 2010.
