SGI Members in Africa Hold Training Sessions
SGI members in Mozambique gathered for the first training session held in their country in the city of Namaacha, from July 3-4. SGI-South Africa General Director Loren Braithwaite attended to support this historic meeting, in which participants deepened their understanding of the Buddhist perspective on the mentor disciple relationship and strengthened their commitment to work for the sake of world peace.
From July 24-25, some 50 SGI-Cameroon youth gathered from throughout the country for a youth training session in Yaounde. The meeting focused on how to care for youth so that they can bring forth their inherent capability and wisdom, for their own sake and for the sake of creating lasting peace.
SGI-Cameroon General Director Claire Dikongue attended and encouraged the young people to continuously challenge to overcome their personal struggles, based on their faith, practice and study of Nichiren Buddhism.
