SGI-Hungary Holds Training Session
From May 15-16, 2010, SGI-Hungary held a training session in Budapest that some 50 members attended. During the two day event, representatives from the young women and young men's groups shared how their Buddhist practice had resulted in advancements in their daily lives. The meeting also included a performance of a folk song by the young women.
Mieke Iwami, one of the leaders of SGI-Europe, lectured on Nichiren's writing "Winter Always Turns to Spring." Inspired by Nichiren's encouraging words, SGI-Hungary Chapter Leader Toshikazu Nakagawa shared his determination to challenge and overcome all obstacles based on indestructible faith and treasuring a spirit of shared commitment. He also expressed his hope to unite with fellow SGI members in Hungary to establish peace and happiness in the country based on Buddhist philosophy.
