On June 19 and 27, SGI-Ecuador held women's meetings in the cities of Quito and Guayaquil.

At the meetings, women engaged in group discussions about how to live cheerfully and with vitality and watched a DVD celebrating women and mothers. SGI-Ecuador women's leader Chiemi Hanzawa encouraged participants to engage in heartfelt dialogue with people, to treasure unity and lead lives full of victory.

At the meeting in Quito, a woman shared her experience of overcoming a series of difficulties, including struggles with her health and a traffic accident suffered by her husband, through her Buddhist practice. She described how she was able to transform her struggles into positive forces in her life through strong determination, prayer and studying SGI President Daisaku Ikeda's guidance.
