SGI-Dominican Republic and Argentina Hold Leaders Meetings

On July 4, 2010, some 285 participated in a leaders meeting held at the SGI-Dominican Republic Culture Center in Santo Domingo.

SGI-Dominican Republic General Director Pedro Familia attended and encouraged members to deepen their understanding of the shared commitment of mentor and disciple and to continue striving to achieve great personal victories in 2010, a significant year that commemorates the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the Soka Gakkai.

On the same day, SGI-Argentina leaders met at the SGI-Argentina Peace Auditorium in Buenos Aires. Approximately 1,100 attended including Gustavo López, the vice secretary general of the President's Office and Dr. Juan José Cresto, president of the Academy of History of Argentina.

SGI-Argentina General Director Yo Minagawa encouraged the youth at the meeting to become beacons of hope within their local communities. The meeting also included performances by the SGI-Argentina Ikeda Vanguard Orchestra and Chorus.
