SGI-Czech Republic Women's General Meeting held in Prague

Young Women members in Canada

On June 26, 2010, SGI-Czech Republic women and young women gathered for a women's general meeting in Prague, Czech Republic.

Included in the meeting was a presentation from a young woman who shared how she used her Buddhist practice to overcome her weak-heartedness and build a more solid foundation for her own happiness.

SGI-Czech Women's Leader Yuko Izutsu spoke about the difficulties of practicing Nichiren Buddhism during the Communist era in the former Czechoslovakia but that it was during this time that she truly determined to work for the sake of advancing peace and thereby was able to deepen her faith.

The meeting included study and discussion based on SGI President Daisaku Ikeda's writings. Women shared with each other their personal victories that resulted from their Buddhist practice.

The meeting also included song and dance performances by the participants.
