On November 29, 2009, SGI-Norway held a general meeting in Oslo, at which SGI-Norway General Director Aud Digernes, Women's Leader Trine Furu Berg and Women's Secretary-General Katarina Wilmot were newly appointed.

Ms. Digernes shared her strong determination to devote herself to encouraging members and to work wholeheartedly towards creating new paths of peace.

SGI-Europe Vice Women's Division Leader Suzanne Pritchard, SGI-Europe Chair Hideaki Takahashi and SGI-Europe Executive Advisor Shoichi Hasegawa encouraged SGI-Norway members to stand at the forefront of expanding a network of peace and happiness in the world. 2010 will mark 45 years since SGI President Daisaku Ikeda first visited Norway, and together with the few members at that time, pioneered the growth of SGI and Nichiren Buddhism in Norway.
