SGI-Panama Senior Citizens Group Hold General Meeting

On October 11, 2009, SGI-Panama senior citizen group members met for a general meeting at the SGI-Panama Culture Center in Panama City. About 400 members participated in the meeting which focused on how to maintain a youthful spirit even as one ages.

The gathering included a chorus performance. One representative shared an experience about how she overcame her illness and economic problems through her practice of Nichiren Buddhism. SGI-Panama General Director Gabriel Martínez Garcés encouraged everyone to live meaningful, happy lives and to nurture the youth members for the sake of the future advancement of peace in Panama.
