SGI Meetings Held in Southern Africa
From September 25-27, 2009, SGI-South Africa held a training course in Stellenbosch, a town in Western Cape Province, South Africa. SGI members from neighboring countries Lesotho, the Republic of Namibia and Zimbabwe, as well as from as far away as Gabon, participated in the training course. One such member traveled for 24 hours.
The three-day event included sharing of experiences, study and dialogue sessions. Participants were encouraged to strengthen their resolve to realize their own personal victories and share the humanistic ideals of Nichiren Buddhism with others.
On August 30, SGI-Zambia held a general meeting at the SGI-Zambia Grand Culture Center located in Lusaka, Zambia. More than 200 members gathered and chapter representatives gave activity reports.
