SGI-Fiji Holds District General Meeting
On September 5, 2009, SGI-Fiji members gathered for their fourth district general meeting in Lautoka City, Fiji. The district was first established in 2005. During the annual gathering, members shared experiences, including one woman who talked about using her Buddhist practice to overcome difficulties at work and transform her workplace environment.
SGI-New Zealand leaders Ian Gordon and Setsuko Gordon attended the meeting to offer encouragement. In addition, SGI-Oceania Chair Richard Sasaki spoke about how each individual can achieve victory in daily life by implementing faith, practice and study, the basic elements of the practice of Nichiren Buddhism.
