SGI-Sierra Leone Hosts Buddhist Seminar

On August 23, 2009, SGI members in Freetown, the Republic of Sierra Leone, hosted a seminar on Nichiren Buddhism. This was the second seminar conducted this year. Local members invited their friends, enabling them to gain a deeper understanding of the SGI and Nichiren Buddhism.

A question and answer session was held, during which people discussed topics such as the Buddhist concept of enlightenment and the role of Buddhism as a religion and philosophy.

SGI members participating in the seminar expressed their joy in being able to share what they have gained from their Buddhist practice and carry on meaningful dialogues with their friends.
