Brasil Seikyo Celebrates Its 2,000th Issue
On August 22, 2009, the 2,000th issue of the Brasil Seikyo, SGI-Brazil's weekly paper, was published. The publication was launched on May 3, 1965, as a monthly periodical called Nova Era, and was subsequently renamed Brasil Seikyo on April 15, 1966. The newspaper is subscribed to throughout Brazil as well as abroad in 20 countries.
SGI-Brazil Vice General Director Getulino Kiyoshi Nakajima, Board Chair of the Brasil Seikyo, has been involved in editing work since 1973. He expressed his joy in publishing the 2,000th issue of the newspaper, stating that despite difficulties that the newspaper faced at times, the editors never let its publication be interrupted.
