From July 4-5, 2009, some 110 Bharat (India) Soka Gakkai (BSG) young men from 15 cities in east India participated in a two-day training session held in Calcutta, India.

On day one, based on the theme "with the heart of a lion king," participants deepened their understanding of Nichiren's Buddhism, especially the mentor and disciple relationship, through studying Nichiren's writing, "The Opening of the Eyes."

Small group discussions took place on the second day. BSG Youth Leader Surjeet Kumar Lamba and Young Men's Leader Manish Kapoor met with the participants, encouraging them to live victorious lives.
