SGI Women Around the World Celebrate Women's Division Day
Members of the SGI Women's Division around the world gathered to commemorate June 10, Soka Gakkai Women's Division Day, in their respective countries and locales.

In Brazil, around 72,000 SGI-Brazil (BSGI) women assembled to celebrate June 10 at 6,000 venues across the country. On June 10, 2009, BSGI women representatives gathered to commemorate the Women's Division Day at BSGI's Peace Auditorium in São Paulo. BSGI Women's Leader Sueli Ogawa encouraged each participant to manifest courageous and wise action as a woman, shining like a sun of peace and happiness.

On June 7, some 1,500 SGI-Côte d'Ivoire women and young women from 22 cities throughout the country gathered for their general meeting in Abidjan. Those attending resolved to expand friendship and trust in their communities, based on the shared commitment of mentor and disciple and strong prayer. SGI-New Zealand women in Auckland met to study Nichiren's writings at the SGI-New Zealand Culture Center on June 14.
