SGI General Meeting Held in Japan

On March 4, 2009, Soka Gakkai's monthly leaders meeting took place at Tokyo Makiguchi Memorial Hall in Hachioji, Tokyo, in conjunction with the 33rd SGI General Meeting as well as national youth and men's leaders meetings. SGI President Daisaku Ikeda attended together with Soka Gakkai President Minoru Harada, other executive Soka Gakkai leaders and some 250 SGI representatives from 60 countries and territories who were visiting Japan as part of the SGI's 2009 Spring Training Course.

In his address, Mr. Ikeda extended his heartfelt welcome to SGI members for traveling long distances to participate in the training course. Quoting second Soka Gakkai President Josei Toda, he urged everyone to live out their lives brimming with cheerful smiles, courage and victory as they strive to bring into blossom flowers of peace and happiness throughout the world.
