SGI-Korea recently published a Korean edition of The Lotus Sutra and Its Opening and Closing Sutras. The Lotus Sutra is widely considered to be the most important scripture of the Mahayana Buddhist tradition. To date, the Lotus Sutra has been translated and published in Italian, Thai, Greek, German, Laotian and French based on the English translation by world-renowned translator Burton Watson, which was published in 1993 by Columbia University Press, New York. A traditional Chinese edition of The Lotus Sutra and Its Opening and Closing Sutras was also published by SGI-Taiwan's Chen Yin Culture Enterprise Co., Ltd. The Korean edition includes both original text and the Hangul characters of all 28 chapters of the Lotus Sutra, the Sutra of Immeasurable Meanings and the Sutra of Meditation on Bodhisattva Universal Worthy.
