SGI-Hong Kong Members Meet
On December 28, 2008, some 3,500 SGI-Hong Kong members gathered for an annual meeting at the Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Hong Kong. SGI President Daisaku Ikeda sent a message, in which he praised the members' dedication to building trust and friendship in society, and encouraged them to continue to achieve victories in their lives based on their practice of Nichiren Buddhism. A representative shared her challenges and achievements as an educator. SGI-Hong Kong Youth Leader Ngan Sai Fong presented SGI-Hong Kong's activities for 2009. SGI-Hong Kong General Director Lee Kong Sau urged everyone to advance in harmonious unity toward 2010, the Soka Gakkai's 80th anniversary.

SGI-Hong Kong's many performing groups participated: the Byakuran Chorus, Galaxy Choir, Happy Choir, Cosmos Brass Band, Bauhinia Fife-and-Drum Corps and Golden Eagle Gymnastics Squad.
