German Translation of Selected Writings of Nichiren Published
German translation of Nichiren's writings
SGI-Germany recently published German translations of selected works of Nichiren. Translated and edited from The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, the English edition of Nichiren's writings, the German version contains 36 letters and treatises, including "On Attaining Buddhahood in This Lifetime," "Letter from Sado" and "The Object of Devotion for Observing the Mind."
German is spoken by over 100 million people around the world, primarily in the European countries of Germany, Austria and Switzerland, where German is designated as one of the official languages. The SGI members in German-speaking countries will use the newly published book as their core study material of Nichiren's Buddhism.
