SGI-Australia Women Meet in Sydney

On June 15, 2008, some 500 SGI-Australia women gathered at their culture center in Sydney. Mayor Le Lam of Auburn City, New South Wales, attending the event as a guest, shared her impression of her recent visit to Soka Women's College in Japan, where she was able to meet with students. In his congratulatory message sent for the meeting, SGI President Daisaku Ikeda encouraged the Australian women to build unparalleled solidarity of happiness and friendship. Representatives shared how they had effected positive changes in their lives through practicing Nichiren Buddhism. New South Wales State Women's Leader Kazuko Hayashi called on everyone to advance with renewed determination.
