SGI-Indonesia's Growth Results in Two New Chapters

Recently, due to a steady growth in membership, SGI-Indonesia's Tangerang Pioneer Chapter in Tangerang City was reorganized into two chapters--Tangerang Pioneer Chapter and Serpong Chapter. In 2006, SGI President Daisaku Ikeda's photography exhibition, "Dialogue with Nature," was shown in the suburbs of Tangerang. Local SGI members used the event as a starting point for promoting the SGI's philosophy of humanism through one-on-one dialogues.

On May 20, 2008, Tangerang Pioneer Chapter members gathered at SGI-Indonesia's Tangerang Center to celebrate the new start of their chapter. Chapter Leader Prijadi and Women's Leader Wan Tjoe encouraged those attending to unite to further develop trust and friendship in their community. On the same day, Serpong Chapter members met in the suburbs of Tangerang. Chapter Leaders Hendry Kusuma and Linah Kusuma called on everyone to devote themselves to the peace and prosperity of their fellow members, their families and friends, thereby expanding their own happiness.
