New SGI-Paraguay Youth Leaders Announced at General Meeting

On May 11, 2008, some 400 SGI-Paraguay members gathered for a general meeting at the SGI-Paraguay Culture Center in Asunción. Newly appointed youth leaders, Young Men's Leader Samuel Medina and Young Women's Leader Chieko Nagasawa, expressed their resolve to further dedicate themselves for the sake of the members' happiness as well as lasting world peace. SGI Vice President Carlos K. Shima encouraged everyone, saying that achieving absolute or lasting happiness is derived from prayer; action; unity based on the spirit of many in body and one in mind; and oneness of mentor and disciple. SGI-Paraguay General Director Kaoru Kurita also spoke. The meeting included dance performances and music from the youth fife-and-drum courps.
