7,000 Take Study Exam on Nichiren Buddhism in South Korea


SGI-Korea has been conducting ongoing grassroots gatherings to study Nichiren's writings and discuss the basic principles of Buddhism. On April 6, 2008, SGI-Korea held an entrance-level examination on Nichiren Buddhism at 103 venues throughout South Korea. More than 7,000 candidates were tested on five of Nichiren's writings and the basic concepts of Nichiren Buddhism. The candidates expressed their resolve to apply what they leaned in their daily lives.
