SGI-Finland Kicks Off with New Leadership

On October 7, 2007, SGI-Finland, made up of three districts in one chapter, held a kick off meeting in Helsinki. Newly appointed leaders announced at the meeting include: Marjatta Valkama, chapter leader and women's division leader; Tatu Kuivalahti, secretary general; Kari Kilpeläinen, men's division leader; Johanna Holopainen, youth division leader; Marius Lönnrot, young men's division leader; and Maria Santavuori, young women's division leader. Former Chapter Leader Takeshi Ikeda will serve as an advisor, focusing on fostering the youth leaders. The new leadership expressed resolve for expanding friendship and gaining trust in Finnish society.
