SGI-Paraguay Women Hold General Meetings

During June 2007, approximately 700 SGI-Paraguay women met for general meetings with the theme, "Protagonists of Happiness," at 37 venues throughout the country. Many guests and friends attended the meetings, which brimmed with spontaneity and warmth. The gatherings included musical performances and inspiring episodes of how the SGI-Paraguay women "protagonists" overcame various trials and tribulations through their practice of Nichiren Buddhism, learning that genuine happiness is created and manifested through their own efforts and attitude in life. Following the main program, the women held informal discussions in small groups and strengthened their bonds of friendship.

SGI-Paraguay Women's Leader Yuko Kurita says the activities also served to nurture many new capable leaders. Speaking on behalf of all the women, she affirmed, "With the power of deep prayer followed by resolute action, we SGI-Paraguay women are determined to contribute to peace and the flourishing of Paraguayan society."
