SGI-Germany Holds Training Course in Trets
From June 13-17, 2007, around 100 SGI-Germany men's division members attended a training course at the SGI-Europe Training Center in Trets, France. During the five-day course, the men had many opportunities to deepen friendships and share experiences of how they have applied the philosophy of Nichiren Buddhism to overcome challenges at work and in their families. The program also included small group discussions on organizational responsibilities and how to maintain a vibrant personal practice of Buddhism. Study material included SGI President Daisaku Ikeda's lecture on Nichiren's writing "On Attaining Buddhahood in This Lifetime." Impromptu performances during meals were highlights, and one partipant commented that he had been inspired with hope and courage.
