SGI-Europe Celebrates Soka Gakkai Day
Along with SGI organizations in countries around the world, SGI-Europe commemorated May 3, Soka Gakkai Day. On May 4, SGI-Lithuania members, some who live and work in other countries, gathered at a home in Vilnius, Lithuania, for a friendship exchange meeting. The group enjoyed listening to each other's experiences of engaging in SGI activities abroad, as well as of their personal practice of Buddhism.
SGI-Luxembourg members met in a Luxembourg suburb under clear blue skies on May 6, 2007. Youth members gave a presentation on the Soka Gakkai's history, and representatives related how they have utilized their practice of Nichiren Buddhism to improve their lives.
On May 3, SGI-Denmark youth gathered to share how they have engaged in Buddhist dialogues with friends. Some SGI-Netherland members met at the culture center on May 6 and resolved together to further develop their abilities and help one another manifest their innate potential.
