SGI-Cameroon Women Participate in International Women's Day Parades and Activities

On March 8, 2007, SGI-Cameroon women members marched in parades commemorating International Women's Day in the cities of Yaoundé, Douala and Edéa. In Yaoundé, the capital, the SGI women carried a placard calling for women to win over violence and to blaze a trail toward a glorious future. In Douala, the republic's largest city, the participants carried a banner that read "The 21st Century is the Century of Women--Courageously Advance." Prior to the parade, the SGI women in Douala participated in a community clean-up effort with other local residents.
