SGI-Ireland Holds Commemorative Meeting

On February 18, 2007, 180 SGI-Ireland members, including some SGI members from Northern Ireland, met in Dublin for a commemorative meeting. Many of SGI-Ireland's current members initially started their Buddhist practice in the USA or the UK and have returned to work for the peace and prosperity of Ireland. At the meeting, new leaders were announced and newly joined SGI members were introduced. National Vice Women's Division Leader Jean Gilbert underscored the importance of the discussion meeting as a key to the flourishing of SGI-Ireland and each person's development in faith. SGI-Europe Chair Hideaki Takahashi encouraged the participants to deepen their prayer and actions to achieve victory and success toward their goals.
