SGI-Sweden Members Meet in Stockholm, Malmö and Götenborg
SGI-Sweden members met at three venues for general meetings from the end of January to the beginning of February 2007. Over 100 people from North, Central and South Stockholm Chapters gathered at the SGI-Sweden Culture Center in Stockholm on February 4, focusing on the mentor-disciple relationship and the importance of respecting every individual as a "Buddha," with the potential for manifesting boundless wisdom and infinite compassion. Many guests, including family members, as well as four new members, attended. Women's Division Leader Yoko Harding, Youth Division Leader Lawrence Skoglund and General Director Fredrik Hultman reported on the recent European Summit in Trets, southern France. Mr. Hultman encouraged the participants to tap their innate wisdom that arises from deep prayer and to spread friendship and trust in society through personal growth and development. Many new leaders were appointed at these meetings that kicked off 2007 activities. West Sweden Chapter met in Malmö on January 21 and South Sweden Chapter met in Götenborg on February 3.
