SGI-Germany Hosts Open House at Its New Hamburg Center

On January 21, 2007, SGI-Germany hosted an open house for local residents and invited guests at its new Hamburg center. Speaking on behalf of the guests, Irmgard von Lehsten, member of the German Committee for UNICEF (United Nations Children's Fund), expressed her hope that the SGI will serve as a positive influence in society, providing hope for the future. Residents and guests enjoyed a choral and musical performance by SGI-Germany members.

Some 160 SGI-Germany leaders met on January 28 at the Villa Sachsen Grand Culture Center, located along the Rhine River in Bingen City. During the meeting, news of SGI-Germany's recent growth was shared and new national leaders were announced.
