Volume II of De Geschriften van Nichiren Daishonin (Dutch Translations of Nichiren's Writings) Published

SGI-Netherlands recently published a second volume of De Geschriften van Nichiren Daishonin, a Dutch translation of The Writings of Nichiren Daishonin, comprising 17 letters and treatises. Included are three of Nichiren's five major writings--"On Establishing the Correct Teaching for the Peace of the Land," "The Opening of the Eyes" and "The Object of Devotion for Observing the Mind (Established in the Fifth Five-Hundred-Year Period after the Thus Come One's Passing)," as well as "The True Aspect of All Phenomena," "The Actions of the Votary of the Lotus Sutra" and "Letter to the Brothers." The Dutch translation was undertaken by SGI-Netherlands members. Dutch is spoken by some 20 million people around the world, mainly in the Netherlands.


SGI-Netherlands also recently published a Dutch edition of the first volume of The World of Nichiren Daishonin's Writings, Volume I, a dialogue on Nichiren Buddhism between SGI President Daisaku Ikeda and Soka Gakkai Study Department leaders.
