SGI-Macau and SGI-Hong Kong Celebrate 40th and 45th Anniversaries

The Daybreak Dancers

Macau: On November 26, 2006, SGI-Macau held its 23rd general meeting at the SGI-Macau Culture Centre. The meeting commemorated SGI-Macau's 40th anniversary and served as a kick-off toward its 50th. Performances by various dance and chorus groups, including the girls' Daybreak Dancers, celebrated the event. A couple shared their experience of uniting and working together to overcome their child's "incurable" disease, and creating a harmonious and happy family in the process. SGI-Macau General Director Lei Loi Tak encouraged the participants to share the philosophy of Nichiren Buddhism with others and support one another to emerge victorious in 2007 in their personal lives and in their organizational activities.

Following the announcement of activity plans and goals for 2007, the Cosmic Brass Band, the Bauhinia Fife-and-Drum Corps, and two choruses performed. The No. 3 Headquarters held culture festivals on November 18 and 19, attended by a total of 3,000 people.
