SGI-Peru Holds Elementary-Level Buddhist Study Examination in 14 Cities

Examinees in Lima

On December 3, 2006, the SGI-Peru Study Department held an elementary-level examination in 14 cities throughout Peru, including Lima, Peru's capital. Some 780 SGI-Peru members of all ages sat for the examination to test their knowledge on basic Buddhist concepts and Nichiren's writings such as "The True Aspect of All Phenomena" and "General Stone Tiger." SGI-Peru General Director Carlos Shima voiced his hopes that SGI-Peru members would continue to engrave the Buddhist spirit of humanism in their hearts and develop their capabilities through exerting themselves in the practice and study of Nichiren Buddhism.
